In this historical fiction story, AVI once again brings to life a little-remembered time in history through the eyes of a regular child. This is the true tale of Lambert Simnel, who is plucked out of his drudgery and groomed to pose as Edward the Sixth--rightful heir to the throne of England. But Henry the Seventh--the present king who violently seized the throne from Edward's uncle, is ready to battle for the crown. Will Lambert be able to convince enough men he is actually Edward to join his army? With short, well-paced chapters, this book would be appropriate for fifth grade and up. It would also be an excellent read-aloud for 8-12+ year-olds.
