This cheap b&w horror movie is notable for being Francis Ford Coppola's mainstream debut (he worked on a few adult films). Produced by the great Roger Corman, this was filmed in Ireland and feels inspired both by "Psycho" and haunted house movies like "The Innocents" and "The Haunting." The acting is pretty bad, as is the script, but there are some good shots and creepy moments. The only actor I recognized was Patrick Magee, who would later be in "A Clockwork Orange." Interesting as the humble beginnings of the future director of "The Godfather" and "Apocalypse Now."
