Although most of the time, each girl annoyed me at certain points, I can't really say I hated the book because of it. I think the author did a great job portraying the totally, completely, different sides of the sisters. As I got further into the story, I found that I can sort of relate to the sisters in some ways, just a little. Mostly, though, I think I empathize most with Gabby, even though I found her to be very mean sometimes, I understand her frustration. Daphne was bratty and immature and annoying but I understand the use of her fantasies as a sort of escape from her problems in life. What I didn't like, was the lack of closure at the end of the book. I thought there could've been more character growth, stretched out THROUGHOUT the book, but i felt like the author just sort stuck it in at the end. Which isn't GROWTH. It's just...change. And I was disappointed to see that the sisters never had a moment where they really talked it out, because it was absolutely frustrating to see how they never bothered to try to understand each other, and then not see them try to do that in the end either. I think if they could just listen to each other and see where each other is coming from, they'd get along better. But there was none of that. Then the problem with Gabby and Muse was never really solved either...it's like she just sort of accepted the fact that she has to "share" him with Daphne, but doesn't really talk with him about their issue because she has a boyfriend now, and thus, doesn't really care as long as she isn't alone. Which is a very unsatisfying end. So aside from all the open holes that remained unsolved, it was a pretty interesting read.
