Probably the worst of the series - it was absolutely tedious to get through, required more than just a complete suspension of disbelief but ALSO required you to ignore all of the rules that were set up in previous books for this "world" that Odd lives in. I pushed through and wasted my time, the end of the book was not satisfying at all, and will probably continue to be just as horrendously 'purple prosed' as the next book Koontz plans to write. I feel like his novels are all methodically the same, you can expect everything to happen within 2 days of the first opening paragraph, and it's always a big, absolutely ostentatious event that happens at the height of the conflict. Koontz has become cliché.
