First aired on TV (December 7, 1969) - Frosty the Snowman (which has a 25-minute running time) is a charming, animated Xmas special based on the song "Frosty the Snowman". This cheerful presentation features the voices of comedians Jimmy Durante as the film's narrator (Durante's final performance in a film) and Jackie Vernon as the title character. Like "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" - "Frosty, the Snowman" is yet another one of those timeless classics. This show is ranked at #4 on the list of top 10 best family holiday specials. And, as the story goes - A magic, silk top-hat brings a snowman to life. With the temperature rising above freezing this means that Frosty could melt - So it's off to the North Pole.... Meanwhile - The original owner of the hat (a ruthless/greedy magician) decides he wants it back 'cause its special power means big bucks... Oooh... Is this story's suspense totally killing you, or what?..... (*Watch "Frosty" video-clip*)
