Disclaimer: This book contains graphic descriptions of the human body. It is not for the faint of heart Stunning, surprising and stupid. These are the only words to truly describe the mains characters in Leigh Bardugo’s Crooked Kingdom. They are stunning as each provide compelling narratives that don’t overcrowd the plot. Surprising as each chapter keeps you on the edge of your seat, in different ways, making you stay awake late into the night reading. Stupid because there are too many occasions you wish that they didn’t make a mistake or make you smile as they try to understand the complexities of budding romances. There is less world building in Crooked Kingdom than it’s predecessor Six of Crows, but that is to be expected when the plot is so full of details and chaos that it becomes hard to pinpoint when each narrator is pinpoint the chronological order of the events that occur. Despite some confusion, Crooked Kingdom created another magic trick that begs to be understood by the reader.
