The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe is a movie based on the book by C.S Lewis, It follows the Pevensie siblings, Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy during WWII they were forced to uproot their family and move in with their uncle until the war ends. During that time the four play hide-in-seek, Lucy hides in a wardrobe in which she finds out is a portal to another realm, Narnia. The land is ravished by the snow queen who is cold and cruel to her subjects. The four must fight to fulfill the prophecy that two sons of Adam and two daughters of Eve will restore peace to Narnia. I would strongly recommend this movie. @GoosReviews of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

In order to keep the four children safe during World War Two England, they are sent to live in a country house, until one day, one of the children discover a wardrobe that leads them to the magical land of Narnia. After the girl, Lucy, explored the hidden world, she brought her siblings back in with her so that they could team up with a lion and destroy the evil White Witch. This movie is a classic amongst children for its magical imagery and interesting storyline. I would rate this movie 4/5 stars for it’s captivating visuals and recommend it to anyone with a child-like imagination. @The_Reviewer of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library

Nice film adaption of Lewis's famous book.

A modern adaptation of C. S. Lewis' masterpiece. Though different in some places, it is usually for the better. All of the actors give fantastic performances.

In this movie, the scenes with the White Witch might've been scarier than I'd expected before watching the movie. Tilda Swinton, who plays the witch, is an interesting actress!

If I was stranded on a desert island--with electricity, a TV, and a DVD-player?--this would be one of the five movies I would want with me. I always dread when someone asks me what my favorite book is--what kind of book? my favorite right now, or my favorite last week, or my favorite last year? my favorite children's book or my favorite adult book?--but I think The Chronicles of Narnia series is the closest I can ever come to picking an overarching favorite. So it means a lot for me to be able to say that I think this movie did the book justice--not in perfectly capturing every detail of Lewis's book (though they did really well on a good deal of that), but in capturing the heart and soul of the story in a way that leaves me a bit breathless every time I watch it.

I LOVE this movie! It doesn't completely stick to the book, but some artistic license is alright. The only problem I have with it is the lighting. It seems that oftentimes, a scene will be so dark that you can't tell who's who or what is happening. (Prince Caspian is even worse!) Still, I love to see this well loved story on screen. It will always hold a special place in the many books I have read, for a couple reasons. I think Lewis would have liked it.
Not that I would know :)

It was the White Witch. She's the one who makes it always winter, always cold.
