After the sudden loss of her husband in a car crash, Libby Moran falls on hard times - so hard that she's forced to move in with her hyper-critical mother. So when a letter arrives from Libby's estranged aunt offering her a job and a place to live on her goat farm, Libby jumps at the opportunity as a chance to piece together the mysteries of her own past. A chance, even, at love. And, finally, a chance to bring herself, and her family, back to life.

I absolutely LOVED this book from start to finish. I loved the storyline, characters and can it get any better than living on a goat farm? This was a quick read as I found myself drawn to it and kept wanting to read more! The love the way the author writes and draws you into it ALL. Bravo! 5-stars from me!

I listened to the audio version of this book. This is only my second book by Katherine Center, but I think she is going to become one of my favorite authors as I delve more into women's fiction as opposed to strictly romance.
I heard an author recently say that women's fiction is more about the character's personal journey vs. the journey of the relationship present in romance. That definitely holds true for Libby in this book. She undergoes many changes after her husband dies, both in a responsibility way in keeping her family safe and happy, and personally in what she feels for those around her. There is a little romance thrown in! I loved this book!
I thoroughly enjoyed the performance of the book by Amy Rubinate. She never disappoints and I think always adds to the experience of the story.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one! Great character development, story had depth and layers, there were surprises and confirmations, all in all - just what I needed as a breather from my usual crime novel genre!

5+ STARS!!

This author is quickly becoming a favorite and The Lost Husband is my first 5+ rating for 2019. I love this author's writing style, story development, and wit. The story moves quickly and I couldn't flip the pages fast enough. In turns, it had me sad, indignant, laughing, and then swooning. Not only did it have a sweet and subtle romance, but the friend and family relationships were just as compelling. I recommend this story to those who enjoy witty and poignant women's fiction with a lovely dose of romance.

I love this book! About loss, love and goats! Sad, honest sometimes funny situations that I can easily relate. This book also spoke about not being perfect which one of my struggles. This will be one of my favorite reads!
