RichardPaul got it spot on. If you are committed to the series, read it. Otherwise, Mr Higgins seems to have called it in. I don't usually mind his simple action style but when he starts saying one character did something and then a few pages later, credits the same action to a different character, I think it's time to call it a career (or hire a more detail-oriented editor?)

I found this murder mystery to be very simplistic and predictable. All of the bad guys were Muslims or Russians. Most of the good guys were Brits, and when they shot, they always hit between the eyes.

#14 in Sean Dillon Series

The Killing Ground ---- by Jack Higgins (Sean Dillon story) c - 2008 ---- This story had allot of repeats of the action type and basically what was happening in the tale. Still it is a good read ---- Untill the ending nearly duplicates the previous story ending: Where the General gets shot in the shoulder. ---- Gave me a Lame feeling of the read. ---- If you are following the Tale/Series, this is a must read. ---- As lazy as the work is! ---- RichardPaul
