This stand-alone novel will serve as either a grand introduction or a beautiful conclusion in the saga of the Baxter family. The Baxters make plans to come together for a summer lakeside reunion, a celebration like they haven't had in years. But before the big day, the unthinkable happens. As the Baxter family rallies together, memories come to light in the grief-stricken hours of waiting and praying, memories that bring healing and hope during a time when otherwise darkness might have the final word.

I started reading this book and couldn't get passed the first few pages. What a boring, sugary, pretentious and righteous book. Do not recommend it.

This is a book that did not need to be written. I can't even comprehend why she chose this storyline- forget reading this and remember the Baxter Family as they were in previous books. This has put me of reading anymore Kingsbury books.

This book culminates the entire Baxter family series. It is a definite must read for Kingsbury fans. You do need a box of Kleenex as you read. So well written!

The book is a must read. Have a box a kleenex near by. Karen Kingsbury's books touch your heart and you relate to each and every character.
