Useless people leading useless lives. I just could not feel empathy for them. Evelyn Waugh still came across as a nasty man despite the author's efforts.

I've read almost all of Evelyn Waugh's books and "Brideshead" is a favorite. It was very interesting to read the backstory and about yet another doomed and dysfunctional aristocratic family. It was also interesting to learn more about E Waugh and another side to his personality. Very interesting!
