When someone could be called a great author of science fiction, one might think to find their work tedious, overthought and complex. I was always surprised at how approachable and action-packed most of Asimov's books were.
Start here for the Foundation series, and let me know if you think it holds up. I really think it does.

This is a fun read that touches on some very interesting philosophical questions. There are plenty of points in this book where you can stop and ponder on what awaits us in our future if technology continues to advance.

About as exciting as you'd expect a novel about a mathematician to be. My recommendation: Read the first chapter and the last.

I read this book after completing the original trilogy. It's a nice change to follow one character (and his sidekick) throughout the whole book. There's less tension, of course, because you know that Hari has to survive this book. Nevertheless, the plot is solid and there are a few twists you don't see coming.
Personally, I would have liked to learn more about the psychohistory itself (and how you can quantify human nature), but I suppose it's unreasonable to expect Asimov to fully explain a fictional science.

Have been reading the Foundation series in chronological order (Prelude to Foundation, Forward the Foundation, Foundation, Foundation and Empire, Second Foundation) and so far, "Prelude" has been my favorite.

Chronologically the First of the 'Foundation' novels. We had to wait decades for it!

An amazingly well done "pre-quel" to the Foundation series. Sometimes it's hard to follow up to a series that's so good, but Asimov pulled it off masterfully.
