Kept me watching until the end, though the whole idea of who's popular or good-looking and who's not still gets on my nerves.

Haven't watch Mean Girls (Yes I have been living under a rock on the other side of the world), but I am looking forward to. Hope my holding would come fast.

Mean Girls is a typically teen movie, but in my defence, it really is a great film. If you haven't seen this movie, you must be living under a rock. Mean Girls goes into further detail as to how badly you can be treated in high school by bullies. Cady Herring, yes, Cady, is the new girl in school. She becomes friends with some weirdos, and the most popular girls in school. She later has to choose between her real friends, and her fake friends. Of course, popularity is the first thing on anybody's mind, so Cady eventually becomes a mean girl! I really liked this movie, because it is an accurate representation of how rude people can ruin your life. In some scenes, you really felt sorry for Cady. She was home schooled her entire life, and she came to a brand new high school, and turned into someone she never was. If you like movies and stories based on teens and their struggles, watch this movie! I give this film a 5/5. It's a classic!

Mean Girls is an absolute classic that cannot be compared to anything else. This hilarious film follows the story of Cady Heron, clueless new girl experiencing public school for the very first time. She soon falls victim to an elite clique of popular mean girls called “The Plastics,” and finds that high school is a roller coaster of ups and downs. In the end, Cady comes back down to earth and realizes the importance of being friendly and kind in a vicious world where everyone is constantly trying to put each other down. If you’re a teenage girl, you NEED to see this movie as soon as possible!

This Movie was so funny. All
of the drama. But the girls in
that movie learned a lesson.

This movie was really funny and i could watch it over and over again. Its about a girl who recently came from Africa and starts making friends with the popular girls, but little does she know that she is being used.

This is such a great movie. If I could I'll watch it over and over. Hahaha, my favourite part was when Lindsay Lohan was dressed on halloween and scared some people.

Though far beyond my "teen" years, I have to admit that the first time I had seen "Mean Girls", I knew it would be a movie I'd throw into my collection of comedy favorites. I watched this movie on a whim... just a boring Saturday weekend evening with nothing else good to watch, and I'm glad I did.

As others have noted, there's so many truths to this movie that stands the test of time... namely, of how every high school has its specific "cliques" of groups... the preppies, the band geeks, the nerds, the jocks, etc. Lots of issues about "self esteem" during these years as kids are at a stage of trying to discover who they are, where they fit in society's social ladder, and so on.

Lots of great quotable lines from this movie, great laughs (though some of it is a bit over-the-top dumb and predictable), and great acting on the parts of Lindsay Lohan and Tina Fey. I'm sure there's more to say of it, but a lot has already been said by other reviewers. I'm just saying that this movie isn't just for "teens"... definitely a comedy worthy of all ages.

Mean girls is by far my favourite movie ever!!! Cady Haron moved from Africa to a new school. Worst of all she has no idea what is in store for her when she experiences her first day at high school. There is when she meets the Plastics, a group of girls who rule the school. They end up changing her life and show her new things that she would have never thought of before. She is facing the decision of doing what's right or fitting in, Something that is a very hard choice for teens. Especially girls. This movie really showed real life situations that many people do face in high school which I feel is really useful for many people. But at the same time the message that is being sent is really amazing. Lindsay Lohan was such an amazing actress and still is and her role in this movie was played really well. And same with Rachael Mcadams who played the role of Regina George, the head of the plastics. This movie is a perfect watch for teenage girls everywhere. Even if you don’t get into drama and don’t think of high school this way. Not only me but every girl that I know have watched this movie loved it. It has so many lines that we all still say to this day. This movie is so relatable to anyone that watches it. Even if you aren't even in high school. Want to watch any movie? Watch this one.

This is is awful ! ...when I got this NYPL disc home and put this movie in the DVD player...and the screen says: "NOT FORMATTED FOR THIS REGION" !!?? ( Even though it states "Region #1", on the DVD jacket !!?)

I have watched a thousand other New York Public Library DVDs on my Panasonic Region 1 DVD Player,.. but this one makes it more than TWO DOZEN that have come up as "NOT FORMATTED..." etc. !

I waited a long time to get this highly recommended film.
...VERY DISAPPOINTING !!
I really wanted to see this movie.
And I know that ALL the NYPL copies of it will have this same problem !!

WHY is the New York Public Library buying DVD's that are "NOT FORMATTED.." to be viewed in this region ?

Has this ever happened to anyone else out there ??
